Her co-workers named her Sterile Meryl. With a fluorescent head and a clear cylinder torso, she looks like a tall Roomba on wheels. Sterile Meryl is the first robot to join the Bartlett staff, helping meet the highest standards of disinfection. Her nightly cleaning routine takes her to endoscopy, operating and C-section rooms, where her powerful ultraviolet laser technology burns away germs. Sterile Meryl’s colleagues set her up and place portable sensors in strategic locations. Then they lock the room and switch her on through remote control. While they are free to work on other tasks, Sterile Meryl works her patient-protecting magic. Sterile Meryl is the first robot to join the Bartlett staff, helping meet the highest standards of disinfection. SAFETY
