Photo by Katie Bausler Hi everyone! This will be my last column in House Calls , and I am writing it on Feb. 5, my last day of work before retirement. I can’t adequately express what a joy and honor it has been to lead Bartlett Regional Hospital for the past seven years. My wife, Sue, and I are very grate- ful for the warm welcome we received from Juneau. The Bartlett board of directors ap- pointed Kevin Benson as the interim CEO until the permanent position is filled. Kevin is the CFO and has been with Bartlett for more than two years. He has extensive health care experience and has served as an interim CEO before. Please welcome and support him in that role! As we all know, all too well, this past year has been dominated by the COVID-19 pandemic. This issue of House Calls will continue that focus with articles about testing and vaccinations. But there is life beyond COVID-19! You will also find an update on activities from our fine Foundation, our great pharmacists and our local child advocacy organization.
