Now transfusion patients can express their gratitude through a new Thank-The-Donor™ program. The program allows blood recipients and their loved ones to send anonymous messages to their blood donors via email. Use of the Thank-The-Donor™ tool is entirely voluntary, and no contact information or identifying patient information is shared between the blood recipient or sender of the message and the blood donor. Bloodworks Northwest products are identified with a green heart. Recipients and their families receive information cards with directions on how to send a thank-you email to the blood donor.
