www.bartletthospital.org 15 Linda Thomas Brenda Knapp Cate Buley, MD Bob Storer Mark Johnson Marshal Kendziorek Cate Buley, MD, was appointed to the board this year. She brings important medical experience to the board, serving as medical director for SEARHC, as well as continuing a full-spectrum family practice clinic that includes obstetrics and inpatient hospital duties. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the Alaska Academy of Family Practice and the American College of Physician Executives. Mark Johnson began his service on the board in January of 2014. He is a longtime Alaskan who has served on numerous state and national committees related to trauma, emergency services andmultiple casualty incident response, and he has published dozens of articles on these topics. He retired from his work for the State of Alaska in 2004. During his tenure, he served as chief of emergency medical services and chief of community health and emergency medical services for the Alaska Division of Public Health. Marshal Kendziorek joined the BRH board in 2016. He previously served as the director of information technology and director of administration and technology for the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation. He has served on the board of the Juneau Jazz and Classics Society and the CBJ Planning Commission and currently serves as a board member to Senior Citizens Support Services. Brenda Knapp joined the BRH board of directors in January of 2015. She is a longtime Juneau resident who has done extensive work in the community, including leadership positions in social services, behavioral health, community planning and economic development, tourism, and education. Bob Storer was appointed to the BRH board in June of 2009. His previous experience includes serving as executive director of the Alaska Permanent Corporation and as chief investment officer of Alaska’s Department of Revenue, Treasury Division. He serves on numerous boards and professional organizations, including the Juneau Community Foundation and the University of Alaska Investment Committee. Linda Thomas has served on the BRH board since her appointment in 2007. She is chief executive officer for the Alaskan Brewing Company in Juneau. She brings additional financial expertise from her work with Deloitte & Touche and the Alaska Electrical Trust Funds. Linda serves on several boards, including the Alaska Pacific Bank and the West Douglas Development Working Group.
