Bartlett Regional | House Calls | Spring 2018

Bond with your baby through massage Our new, five-week Infant Massage Class teaches parents massage techniques for their babies, ages two to eight months. Massage is the art of communication. It’s an avenue for bonding and one-to-one communication with your baby. Parents learn different strokes, to read baby’s cues, and respect and respond to baby’s needs. All caregivers are welcome: moms, dads, adoptive or foster parents, and grandparents. Class is conducted in a baby-friendly atmosphere and follows a curriculum of the International Association of Infant Massage. Infant massage has multiple benefits. It has been shown to strengthen the immune system, improve sleep patterns for infants and parents, reduce stress hormones, calm babies, and provide relief from gas and colic, constipation, muscular tension, and growing pains. Bring your baby, a blanket to put on the floor and a pillow. Massage oil is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if preferred. WANT TO JOIN?
